Young Jeezy Presents USDA: Cold Summer

The forecast for the summer just got a whole lot chillier, as the Snowman has just announced a May 22nd release date for the first release from his Corporate Thugz Entertainment (CTE) label, Young Jeezy Presents USDA: Cold Summer.

“It’s crazy,” Jeezy recently told MTV News. “I wanted to do it mixtape-style ’cause I wanted it to be something for the streets. It’s like Trap or Die on steroids. I love that. It’s a street album, just raw.”

Young Jeezy Presents USDA: Cold Summer is a certified street banger from top to bottom, featuring production work from CTE’s stable of up-and-coming producers like Sanchez, Nazty, Midnight Black and Drumma Boy, who produced the group’s first 808-heavy single “White Girl.”

Jeezy is currently out on the road headlining the national “Street Dream” tour and has brought the members of USDA – ATL spitter Slick Pulla and Panama City’s Blood Raw – with him. Built into Jeezy’s set is a segment highlighting USDA, including “White Girl,” which is already starting to buzz in the south. And starting today, fans will be able to check out exclusive footage of the group on the road on USDA TV, a YouTube channel set up by CTE.

It’s an exciting time for Young Jeezy: he has just launched his Rocawear-distributed clothing line, Eighty Seven Thirty Two (8732). His sophomore album The Inspiration has pushed past platinum status and is out-selling nearly every rap album on the charts. The smash second single “Go Getta” (featuring R. Kelly) has hit #1 on BET’s 106 & Park, Big 10 on MTV, and is a Top 5 urban radio hit, with over 50 million in audience. “Dreamin'” featuring Keyshia Cole is set to be The Inspiration’s third single, and will ship out to radio and video channels in mid-to-late April.
