Freestyle….

Bounc3: You are now rockin’ with the R-e-j-3-c-t-z Squad. N.W.O. gang. I go by the name of Bounc3, I’m from Los Angeles.

Mowii: I’m flyer than two flies Madonna and I’m from Compton.

Pee W33: You already know I’m from Inglewood, city of no good. P double E Wee like Herman but I’m not her man. And that’s simply Pee Wee.

Bounc3: Like lemonade playa.

Mowii: Yeah we rockin’ live like news.

Dubcnn: And we’re outside the studio. What studio is this?

Mowii: We right here at Noho off Lankershim at the T Fly Studio. Right next door to Marty, you already know. Dubcnn, there’s no need to fear, the Rej3ctz are here. I know you heard that we got this crazy dance going around, and that we got this crazy song to go along with the dance. I know you heard that we went to 106 & Park this last week, for their 10 year anniversary. And it most definitely went down like a sunken ship, with Chris Brown, shout out to Chris Brown. We had the whole word doing the Cat Daddy from that point on. My name is Mowie Madonna, this is...

Bounc3: Bounc3.

Pee W33: Pee Wee.

Dubcnn: First off tell us how you guys linked up. I know you have a lot of other stuff going on apart from the group.

Mowii: How we linked up, I met this guy at the bus stop. Then it was weird the next day I met this guy at Baskin Robbins. Just playing. I been knowing these guys for years. I been knowing Pee Wee for ten years roughly and I been knowing bounce for about 7 years. This is not something put together by a record label, this is family. We’ve been knowing each other for quite a long time. We got together and we came from a dance background and moved on to become artists known as renaissance artists, which are the greats, pioneers that do it all. So it evolved to rapping, which is what we do now.

Dubcnn: So you guys were recently on 106 & Park with Chris Brown. Tell us about that experience and tell us how it was working with Chris.

Mowii: Well I’ve been all around the world, but Bounc3, tell them how it was.

Bounc3: That experience was crazy. First time in New York, I felt all the New York love. It was just incredible. It was a dream come true, a blessing, real talk. Up there with Chris at 106 & Park. They say once you bring your dance to 106 and Park it’s a wrap, it’s a dance craze. We showed ‘em the Cat Daddy, it’ was ballistic. It was in Harlem. Lennox Ave., posted up.

Mowii: Right down from Doug E Fresh house, ham. Not to mention, they almost cut our segment, just for the simple fact that some, (Mr. Fox) people took over they minutes. By the helpful blessing of God, Stephanie, who was the BET producer, paid the extra amount of dollars for the extra 15 minutes to get us on the show. That was a lot of love.

Dubcnn: So you guys are also doing some other stuff with Chris. He’s gonna be on one of your songs, right? You’re collaborating.

Bounc3: Actually, we have a new video out called Cat Daddy. It’s for the Cat Daddy dance. Chris is also in that video going nuts. Plus we got a new single, our second single, called “Let Me Love You”. Chris is on the hook. It’s for the ladies, radio smash, it’s gonna blow up, ridiculous, ballistic. We make bombs

Mowii: ‘Cause we don’t make hits, we make bombs., detonators, fuses.

Dubcnn: Well a lot of people say you’re from the jerk movement. What’s your background with that? How are you connected to the whole movement?

Mowii: I’mma let the gangsta talk to you on this one. He gon’ set you straight on that one. ‘Cause we don’t just come from the jerk background.

Pee W33: We started the jerk movement…

Dubcnn: What are your thoughts on other groups getting credit and where it is now?

Bounc3: If it wasn’t for us it would be no jerk. Well not necessarily no jerk but it wouldn’t have went as far as it went. The Reject set it off. You ask anybody to do The Reject they know how to do The Reject.

Pee W33: That’s the whole jerk movement. We made the only dance that was in the jerk movement.

Bounc3: So if you ask anybody to jerk they do The Reject.

Mowii: And with that being said…

Pee W33: We are the jerk movement.

Mowii: Not to mention we had the only DJ pushin’ it. Our DJ helped make YG who he is, just by pushing his music through all the underground scenes. Everybody knows that without the DJ there’s no party. If the DJ isn’t pushing your s-h-i-t then you can’t get hot. So our DJ was the one who got off the high pedestal and took along all these new groups and started pushin’ their music. So that’s how the jerk movement came about. Around 2005, after I went on tour with Madonna, we had created this dance called The Reject. I went back on tour and they went to parties, and they were doing it at parties. When you say hip-hop, hip-hop is three things: the music, the style and the dance. And we are those three things. So when they go to these parties and people levitate towards the real true hip-hop. And at that time that’s what was true hip-hop, and the name for it became the jerk. And we never named the dance move The Reject, we never named it, the streets named it.

Pee W33: When they see us do a dance, they don’t know what the call it they name it The Reject, ‘cause the Rej3ctz do it.

Dubcnn: Do you guys consider yourself part of that movement, or did you outgrow it?

Everyone: That’s us.

Pee W33: It wasn’t a fad thing. That was how we really lived. Then they put a name on it, called it the Jerk movement. It’s not really “the jerk movement”. It’s just the jerk movement to us. But to everybody else it’s the reject dance.

Mowii: It’s a lifestyle we just jerk. And anybody that say they don’t jerk no more. They’re lying.

Pee W33: But you were jerkin’ before that, before it was called jerkin’. It’s just that name.

Mowii: It’s crazy how once you get labeled, it changes your whole persona and perception of things.

Pee W33: And how other people from the outside look at you. So now we’re just a jerk crew. But that’s cool, ‘cause looks can be deceiving, but we’re artists.

Mowii: I think when you think about jerk, it’s at a point where it’s at a standstill. That’s just because the true kings and pioneers haven’t rose to the throne yet. And with this Cat Daddy, you will most definitely see where it comes from. Wait, wait. I have shorts on backwards. What do you mean? This is called style! Get out of here!

Dubcnn: Can you tell us about it or demonstrate it or tell us about the whole dance?

Pee W33: Shout out to Sam. Sam is the creator of the Cat Daddy. We’re just the promoters. Big ups to Sam, created the dance. I say it’s been out for about a year, but just now people are starting to catch on to it like they did the Reject.

Mowii: This is the dance, that Madonna knows, her whole house knows, it’s in her workout. Chris knows, Omarion knows, Usher knows, the list goes on. Peep it. That’s a West Coast thang. Listen, we’re all about the west. We’re bringing the West Coast back.

Pee W33: New West order. Mowie: Listen we just had an event, our mixtape release party, we brought out all the West Coast young. I’m talking about young groups, not talkin’ about the old cats who be on the other stuff. We brought everybody together, one house, one roof, one night. And they all performed and it was ham, hamlet.

Pee W33: We still ain’t seen seen the footage.

Bounc3: It was ballistic. Something special for the West.

Dubcnn: That’s a great topic. This is Dubcnn the West Coast News Network. Tell us what is the future of the west coast? What are the kids feeling? You guys are more in tune with it than the older artists, who are stuck in an older mentality. And a lot of the older artists aren’t really feeling the new cats like you guys. What do you think about that whole situation?

Bounc3: Well we are the New West, point blank. Kids out here are looking for something fresh and new, the Cat Daddy is fresh. People period. Adults do the Cat Daddy. More older people like than Cat Daddy than kids. Cat Daddy is an old pimp term. Older cats, players, catch on to that real quick. Pure point blank we are the New West. We don’t just do jerk music, we do all sorts of music, takin’ over pop, slow music, R&B, it’s goin’ ballistic.

Pee W33: Gangsta rap. Just think about how that sounds, we gon’ do some gangsta rap. The only reason it’s labeled that is that’s the street. I don’t think a group like the Rej3ctz should make gangsta rap just because we’re from the West Coast. There’s a whole lot of other things we could be talkin’ about. The West is always new. When Snoop and Suge was kickin’ over buildings, that’ was new. No one had ever seen that. Even though it was gangsta it was new and intriguing. We wear our jeans backwards with mismatched Js, not even loud colors, colorful. It’s a breath of fresh air for the game. Mowie: What are we? Man.

Pee W33: It’s a breath of fresh air for the game. It’s time to move on, life must go on.

Bounc3: We wear whatever we want to wear.

Mowii: West Coast is usually known for gangsta rap, and we put a new face to it. It’s plain and simple. And anybody who hates on that is just a hater. And we thank you, we need you, we need you to love us.

Pee W33: I’mma let you know that jerk is real. And the G’est artist from LA, to me is Snoop Dogg. And he’s most definitely with the jerk movement, for the simple fact that he lives a jerk lifestyle. And he jerk, he doesn’t go to the clubs and do the reject. Maybe his sons do, but he don’t. But he knows exactly what the lane is, for the simple fact that we both been in the streets, real artists.

Mowii: You here with the rejects. Shout out to Black Diamonds, shout out to JHawk, for most definitely putting together that hit smash that we got bangin’ everywhere. Black Diamonds, they shot our video playa, so if you don’t know who they are, they shootin’ everybody video on the wets coast. So you gotta catch up. Shout out to Taz Arnold. Stoops. Get up to gear, get up to par.

Dubcnn: You got the new single out, you shot videos. What else do you got going on, what’s going on with the movement?

Bounc3: Actually we got a mixtape out right now called “The Function”. Cat Daddy’s on there. We got a hit, a smash hit called “Overtime”. Black Diamonds did that video too. It’s retarded. Who did the beat? P Dub? P Dub on the beat.

Mowii: P Dub baby. And that song’s just all about. Basically we came into this game pretty quick, and we takin’ over pretty quick, because we put in work. We put it overtime. All day.

Bounc3: Plus we got one dropping called the Kickback. This one is way more Rej3ctz, it’s really us. It’s not just poppin’ function music, it’s real life. Keep it good keep it bangin’. Mowie: That’s what we got next. It’s just basically takin’ over. It’s just basically comin’ to the game with something fresh. Like Pee Wee said we a breath of fresh air. So with that being said we’re just gonna bring a whole lot of inspiration and new things that the game hasn’t seen, or probably that they haven’t seen in a long time. Like with our performances, it’s not just one of those things where you see the artist walking around with his big chain like, “Yo yo yo four bars here, lemme walk to this side, four bars there.” You see a live show. And you only get live shows from icons, and that’s the road we’re on, the iconic road. So if you ain’t with us, if you ain’t in this car, you’re left behind. You can probably tailcoat, there’s a little room at the back, but as of right now this boat is going. We’re taking it outta here, we’re gonna take this to a whole new plateau.

Bounc3: Wherever plateau is, I think it’s next to Pluto.

Pee W33: It’s a flat piece of land.

Dubcnn: So where can people check you out on the web and online?

Pee W33: Anywhere, twitter, myspace, yourspace, meebo, facebook, anywhere. Google it, Rej3ctz.
